Classic, impeccable utility shirt styling coupled with serious road-ready protection, the Brody riding shirt is a summer smash-hit. Constructed from a single-layer, 4-way active stretch cotton twill, the Brody strikes a perfect balance between comfort, all-day wearability, and abrasion resistance.
The pre-fitted D3O® Level 1 Ghost shoulder and elbow armour is ultra-thin and breathable, so you will barely notice it’s there, and a back protector pocket is present if you wish to upgrade your armour. Iconic square chest pockets complement the look, while subtle zipped side-entry pockets and inner storage allows you to stow your essentials with ease. Lightweight in nature thanks to its single-layer design, the rear ventilation panel is extra-handy when the temperature rises, allowing cool air to flow over you in the heat. - Merlin Brody Riding Shirt. 0 people found this helpfulAs I recently got back into riding after a ten year break there is so much more choice in riding gear available now. So took a chance on this shirt due to the recent hot summer weather and I am so glad I did. It is so comfy and light even with the armour, it is an absolute joy to ride in when it is hot compared to my leather jacket. I have had to completely kit myself out with all new gear and if I had to pick a favourite item it would defiantly be this riding shirt.

I live in Minnesota, USA and although it's freezing cold here in the winter, the summers can get very hot and humid and unless you have the right jacket for those days you don't feel like wearing one. I wanted something lighter that flowed air but still provided a good safety rating and still fit the style I prefer. The Merlin Brody is just that jacket. One of my favorite features is the bottom button, Merlin put the button on the inside of the jacket so no fear in scratching your tank. When wearing it on those 80 plus (26.6 C) days I literally am smiling underneath my helmet enjoying the cooling breeze that passes through it. I love my Belstaff Roberts in black, my John Doe Explorer and XTM V2 in black, but on those hotter days it's always the Merlin Brody in green I go to. I love the AA safety rating, the air flow cooling, and at the lowest price point of all my other jackets this definitely is as "cool" as any of them. Completely satisfied.

I'm very pleased with the build quality and look. It's much easier to get the back protector in and out of this than my leather jacket. Breathes well. Fit is great, but my one small complaint is that the arms don't leave a lot of room for another layer like a jumper. Would buy again.
- Cooler than it looks 0 people found this helpfulFits a bit snug around the midsection (which is my own fault for being so fat), but the stretchy fabric more that accommodates for this. The thick fabric looks like it might be better for cold weather rides, but actually lets in a lot of air. Feels cool, even in the Texas heat. Very good quality. I highly recommend it.
