Tucano’s New Step jacket is a well thought through motorcycle jacket. Its light weight and casual appearance belies its highly protective and capable nature. The outer layer of this jacket is a sturdy ripstop polyamide made from recycled materials. This tough outer is backed up by incredibly inconspicuous but effective CPS Aerosoft CE Level 1 impact protection and there is a pocket for an optional back protector. The garment as a whole has received a CE Level AA protective rating.
The second layer of this jacket is a laminated Hydroscud membrane offering excellent waterproofing while remaining breathable. This layer in turn is lined with a lightweight mesh for comfort.
Inside you will find a removable polar fleece inner lining, stretching this jacket’s usability well into the colder months. The fleece can be worn on its own too, and is a genuinely nice mid-layer.
The New Step has zipped vents under the arms and an exhaust vent on the back, allowing air to pass through on hotter rides.
This jacket is packed to the brim with little details that make it a joy to wear on the bike. All the while remaining lightweight and comfortable. This one punches well above its weight.

- Super solid covert jacket 0 people found this helpfulI was searching for a motorcycle jacket that did not look like a motorcycle jacket, and this one fulfills the job better than I had hoped. It's very tough with thick material, and the pads are very well hidden. It looks more like a ski jacket, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The fit is fantastic. Leave it to Tucano Urbano to pull off great style. They certainly have done it here. For more hot and arid climates, the jacket may be a bit warm. While wearing a backpack the back vents will be totally blocked shut. The side vents are more focused on keeping water out, but also end up not letting a lot of airflow in. The double zipper on the front does a great job of allowing the front to be opened up however far you want and still stay secure. The inside fleece is nice and is removable. It is obvious to me that it will work very well later in the year when the weather gets colder, and I look forward to it.

The armpit zips and back slit helps keep me cool on hot days Comes with a detachable fleece which is a nice touch The colour is less neon yellow in real life and more of a orangey reddish brown kind of tone Honestly looks much nicer in person. The video is much more accurate at showing the colour

I wanted to go with something more casual but not all black. Defintely seem to have people notice me more wearing it which is always good!
