The ultimate way to reduce cable-clutter is the mo.button, which allows multiple signals to travel through just one wire. This water-tight and vibration resistant, tiny cylinder will electrically connect all handlebar instruments, switches and buttons, and can be stealthily mounted inside the handlebar tube, or any other discreet location you desire. Using state-of-the-art bus technology, the mo.button digitally processes signals and transmits them to the mo.unit over a thin cable, then the electrical consumers will be switched inside the mo.unit. This allows all control wires to be moved into the handlebar, saving space, weight, labour and time. The ultimate modification for custom bikes with clean-look handlebars, or anyone looking to create a minimalist aesthetic.
In most wiring set-ups, the operating current (e.g. headlight or turn signals) is transmitted directly via the wiring of the handlebar switches. Due to the high currents, cables with large cross-sections have to be routed from the fuse box to the switch and back to the electrical consumer. This makes for rather big and cumbersome cable bundles - something to be avoided for custom bikes with restricted space or a concealed electrical system. Or just the style conscious.
Combine the use of the mo.unit blue, basic or mo.unit v.2 with the tiny mo.button, and you will minimise all cable usage. All switches/buttons on the handlebar are connected at the shortest distance possible and concealed inside the handlebar. Consequently, you will have to route only ONE thin cable from the mo.button to the mo.unit. All loads and currents will be switched directly at the mo.unit. The pinnacle of minimalism.
