Helstons is quickly becoming one of our favourites for gloves with the black Sun leather glove manifesting the cool vintage style at which the French brand excel. The full grain goat hide used here quickly sculpt to the shape of your hands and is even more abrasion resistant than cowhide found in cheaper gloves. The “full grain” describes which part of the skin is used and how it’s processed. This grade of leather is the very top of the hide which is densely packed (which is what gives it better tensile strength) and hasn’t been buffed or painted to obscure surface imperfections. As such, only the finest quality hides are selected for this category so you really are buying the best. This durable material is beefed up in the Sun with aramid fibre reinforced palms and a memory foam knuckle protector to give it CE Level 1 approval. Helstons have also incorporated an elasticated section to the top of the cuff for additional give to support any lever positioning. A great looking, unique glove that you’ll be reaching for time and again.
