The Goldtop 76 jacket is a timeless looking jacket for modern-day riders. It is based on Goldtop's original 1976 Scuftuf jacket but has been updated to house Knox's state of the art Micro-lock armour. It comes equipped with CE Level 1 armour in the shoulders and elbows and a pocket for an optional back protector. The Goldtop team is passionate about their products and it fully shows: this jacket is manufactured from hand-selected, 1.4mm thick aniline cowhides. The leather has been subtly distressed, making every finished article unique. The whole jacket is finished by hand with a soft tan suede trim. Goldtop have created a highly competent and protective riding jacket that screams biker heritage.
Update: Goldtop have put this jacket through the latest CE testing and achieved the highest classification of AAA.

Size 40 fits me well, but it must be said that it is a short and tight cut that leaves no room for thick clothing underneath.
- I ordered the jacket online 0 people found this helpfulI ordered the jacket online based on the reviews on Urban Rider and Goldtop websites and unfortunately I am somewhat disappointed. Not because the jacket is really bad, but because based on what I read about it, I was expecting a much higher quality. If I would have seen a fair review, perhaps my purchase decision would have been different. Returning it it’s not an option after I payed €127 only on import tax. I’ll start with the good points, the leather is thick and it feels nice. The zippers are good quality and doesn’t seem they’ll break anytime soon. Having said that, the built quality is kind of…not that great. The stitching is uneven on some parts, one of the pockets was ripped (but I stitched it myself), the lining fabric doesn’t look it’s going to hold in the long run, it already started showing wear signs only after a few days, the hips width adjustment straps are placed uneven and one of them is paper thin. Not really something that matters that much, but it’s saying something about the build quality. I’m still gonna wear it, but I have less expensive jackets that are much better built.

I labored over sizing as I’m in the US and returns are more challenging than to buy from a typical stateside dealer. I found the Urban Rider verified measurements to be very helpful, and I measured my typical riding jacket (Roland Sands Truman, size L) against them. The 46 I purchased was within +|- a centimeter all around. fall in between sizes in reality, so even with all the measuring a man can do, my jacket is very snug around my typical American middle. The more I read and researched, I knew I wanted a Goldtop. That said, the pricing was better than any I could find on this specific jacket. The quality is as everyone says- it’s honestly unbelievable. The leather is supple and after an hour or so on my first ride, it felt like a second skin in all the right places. Donning a backpack is a process given the fit right now, but I imagine I’ll not regret the fit as it continues to break in. The armor installation is a bit meticulous but it stays put. The zippers feel extremely quality. I imagine it is traditional to couple this with a scarf/ cravat / balaclava etc. My shape lends a bit of space along the collar bone that catch’s just the smallest pocket of air. This isn’t a bad thing - just an observation. Urban Rider shipping was mind blowing- 4 days from purchase to in my hands. All in all, I love my new jacket, and this sizing is just a reminder for me to get up off my rear and exercise a bit.
