For the third year in a row, Trip Machine and Urban Rider have joined forces to create a collaborative capsule collection. This year’s collection is all about integrating Trip Machine’s signature leatherwork with another material that is synonymous with durability and character: heavy-duty waxed canvas.

Our canvas and leather backpack was designed to be the perfect companion for any motorcyclist with a penchant for the classics. It is a balancing act between elegance and ruggedness. Its 20-litre capacity is slightly flexible thanks to the roll-top closure which is held in place by an adjustable leather strap and G-hook for quick access. The main body of the bag is built from the sturdy canvas which is waxed on both sides for extra water resistance, with a sumptuously soft blue lycra lining that is water-resistant of its own accord. We can’t claim this bag to be fully waterproof (don’t jump into a lake with it) but it will keep your possessions dry when you’re caught out in moderate rainfall.

The base of the bag has solid, full-grain leather panels surrounding the waxed canvas body of the bag. The supple shoulder straps are made from the same material and are fully adjustable. They can be tucked away inside the leather back panel at the bottom and clip behind two snap button straps for when you want to mount this backpack on your bike to use as a pannier. Four sturdy straps and clips are included to help you do so.

The inside of the bag is lined with the aforementioned blue lycra and houses a zipped inside pocket, a key clip and a removable suede laptop sleeve (up to 13.5 inches) which is suspended inside the bag its contents are kept safe should you put the bag down a little too hamfistedly. This laptop sleeve can be attached to the backside of the back (when using it as a backpack) as well as the front side when the bag is mounted to your bike.

All in all, this versatile piece of luggage is designed and constructed to be with you for many miles to come, and look better and better with age.
