Using the same DNA as the standout Mahala jacket from Merlin’s Explorer range, the revamped “Raid” is the hot weather equivalent. It maintains the rugged styling and adventurous attitude, still using the finest materials, but adds supreme levels of ventilation so you can keep cool when the heat turns up. The Mahala Raid Explorer jacket offers a traditional adventure jacket style with all of the finesse and quality you would expect from Merlin, made for summer. The heritage two-tone outer is crafted from a combination of extremely abrasion resistant Cordura® cotton that has received a DWR water repellent treatment, and large mesh panels that promote cooling airflow in the hottest of climes.

The Mahala Raid is lined with a fixed lightweight and breathable mesh - this keeps the rider cool and comfortable when the temperature rises by wicking moisture away so you can stay focussed. The jacket comes pre-fitted with a 5-piece set of Level 1 D3O® armour - that’s impact protection at your shoulders, elbows, and back - and a pocket for chest armour should you wish to upgrade.

The sculpted front hem is ergonomically designed for comfort in a range of riding positions, and adjustable tabs throughout the jacket mean it’s easy to achieve that perfect fit. There’s also plenty of room for all your travel essentials in the abundant storage pockets, and a dual-length trouser connecting zipper provides next to universal compatibility.
