An essential from the Merlin Heritage collection, the feature-packed Gable leather jacket is not just a beauty to look at - the tech spec will take your breath away too. Available in slick Black, and a luscious retro Oxblood, the Gable offers classic style with modern features beyond most other jackets in its price range.
Constructed from a stunning 1.3-1.4mm Two-Tone Cowhide Leather that is completely tape seamed for full waterproof performance, it does away with the need for a drop liner/membrane. Combined with locking waterproof YKK zippers, the Gabel won’t let a drop of water through. No need to carry around the unsightly over-jackets for when the heavens open - you’re going to stay looking on point.
The Gable is not just designed to protect you from the elements - a CE AAA certification means you can rest assured that Merlin have created a safe garment here. They’ve also been kind enough to include D3O Level 1 protectors at the shoulders, elbows, and back as standard, plus a removable 125g thermal full body liner so you can continue to ride whatever the temperature, and a jacket to jean connecting zipper for added security.

With disruption to postal services, we are sending all orders via next day courier to ensure arrival in time for Christmas day. Choose from FedEx, DPD and DHL at checkout.

Fits well to size and just one shortcoming - the sleeves are just a bit on the short side - since everything else was good I kept the jacket.I have now ridden in driving rain for about 45 minutes (lucky me) and yes it was completely waterproof.
- Excellent waterproof leather jacket 0 people found this helpfulThis is a good, quality leather jacket. Not many are waterproof as this is and that works for me in Northumberland UK. The leather is good quality and pockets are well thought out. I've knocked a star off coz the sleeves were a little short for me but then I do have long arms! The loop tab works with jeans and belt tho difficult to use the zip to connect to my Merlin trousers. Very happy with my purchase and will make good use of this in the coming months.
- Fantastic leather jacket 0 people found this helpfulFantastic leather jacket. Very comfortable and soft. Haven’t tried it under rain yet but feels very, very suitable for it. Comes with D3O armour in shoulders and back. The thermo liner is very warm so I predict that this jacket is going to be perfect for my London commutes during autumn and winter. I’ve ridden with it a couple of times at 20 degrees, without liner and would say it is usable at those temperatures. Overall a fantastic jacket. For the fit, my height is 5.8 cm, slim build and the 38 suits me well. Great service as usual from Urban Rider.
