The new update of the John Doe XTM Hoodie is subtle, casual, yet extremely protective, with an improved style and fit. Here, they have opted for a stylish and flattering “contoured” fit, cut a lot slimmer on the body, keeping the armour exactly where it should be - right next to the body.
A sturdy yet lightweight black stretch-cotton twill outer is backed up by the super abrasion resistant XTM-Fiber® liner, achieving an almighty CE Level AAA approval, whilst remaining exceedingly comfortable. Featuring Level 1 shoulder and elbow armour as standard, there is a pocket for optional armour at the back if you are looking to upgrade your protection.
Stealthy, subtle, all-black branding at the chest and sleeve add an edge to an already slick-looking item of clothing. Sporting a lower cut at the back to keep airflow away from your body, this is a well-designed bit of kit.
Immense protection is hidden in a hoodie that will suit a Sunday afternoon in the beer garden just as well as a big ride out with your mates. The XTM Hoodie is a summer staple or a great protective layer for the cooler months.

- Must have 0 people found this helpfulThis jacket looks great on or off the bike. The additional pads/ protection makes it feel a lot stager too so am happy to ride out. Although it doesn’t look tough, it is. The quality of the whole jacket and with the Kevlar lining etc gives you a great sense of confidence. A good winner all round for me.
- Worth it! 0 people found this helpfulI like that it looks like a regular Hoodie and is quite comfortable. I replaced the Level 1 armor with spare Level 2 I had. It was easy to do. The back protector pocket is on the narrow side so I had to cut my spare back protector. The outer shell is cotton so it will tear in a fall and then you’re relying on the Armalite. The whole jacket is lined with it including the sleeves. I think it will be my go to with riding jeans for around town.

I already own their Monolayer Pioneer Jeans and loved them so much I started looking at their other stuff. Came across this hoodie and on paper it ticked all the right boxes. It has respectable AA protection with elbow and shoulder armour (I got the additional back protector for £20), has a great fit and looks awesome. I’m usually a size large but ordered both the L and XL to try them both on. Both fit well actually, so it would depend depending on what kind of fit you’d prefer. I settled on the L as I prefer the slim fit look and it keeps the armour in place more. I like that it has a dropped hem at the back so it covers your lower back on the bike, some thumb loops at the cuff and inside & outside zipper pockets. The best thing about it is that it looks like a regular hoodie both on and off the bike. I’d highly recommend this hoodie. My only wish is they did it in more colours!
