Three guesses where the name for this jacket came from - this iconic film is likely the reason many of us first took to the saddle. Whether or not you’ve seen the seminal 60s biker flick, it can’t be denied that Goldtop’s 72 Easy Rider jacket is one pretty bit of rider wear, crafted to the same meticulous, premium standards as the rest of the Goldtop range.
Masters of truly vintage looking and feeling leather jackets that are fit for today's riding, Goldtop use a premium, 1.4mm thick black aniline cowhide leather, providing inimitably classic styling, high levels of abrasion resistance, and a template to age and patina beautifully. The bold contrast stripe detailing helps you stand out with a not so subtle nod to its namesake film.
Purely vintage in aesthetic, the 72 Easy Rider is truly modern in performance. It has achieved the highest available CE "AAA" Approval, meaning you can ride easy knowing you’ll be safe on the roads. Included for impact protection are the CE Level 1 Knox Micro-lock elbow and shoulder armour inserts that are virtually unnoticeable, and there's a pocket for an optional back protector too.
It wouldn’t be a Goldtop without the premier detailing and finish. High quality zipped pockets, a durable industrial-grade centre zip with an AERO pull, and heritage ball zips on the cuffs make for a true classic look. A tan suede leather trim on the inside of the collar, and black suede on the inside of the cuffs, plus a luscious blue quilted lining aid rider comfort.
Whilst you don’t technically need to be riding an old-school Captain America Chopper along Route 66 to qualify, it might help. All jesting aside, the 72 Easy Rider is a timeless style that will work with any classic or true vintage ride. All you need is that star-spangled-banner lid to complete the look.
