We all know the feeling of slowly but surely watching our beloved bikes degrade and corrode, especially so after a harsh and wet winter. The solution is surprisingly simple: ACF50. Originally designed to prevent planes from corrosion ACF50 is used by the likes of Boeing and the US Airforce to protect their planes, and now you can use it on your motorcycle.
ACF50 counters existing and prevents the formation of new corrosion. It works by simply spraying it all over your bike (except for your brakes and tyres). The aerosol will form an active clear film that does the job for you. The formula has been officially approved for ferrous and non-ferrous metals and even electrical systems and electronic components. Areas such as switches or underneath your seat and tank will be protected for up to 12 months with one application, while more exposed areas such as the underside of your bike will need more regular treating. You'll notice the formula is still working if water still forms beads on the sprayed areas. You can even spray ACF50 on your exhausts to protect them from rust. They will smoke at first to burn off the excess aerosol but your pipes will still be protected.
ACF50 contains hardly any propellant so keep the can in a warm environment and shake well before use. You'll be surprised how long a single can will last you. Truly impressive stuff!
